Today, Flint would have turned 10. We know he was born in September 2013, just not the exact date. But because we adopted him on the 14th of March 2014, why not then the 14th of September? And it's been that way ever since.
It stings that his 10th birthday is also his 1st heavenly birthday. Not having him around hasn't gotten any easier. I miss him every single day. But with the day that's in it, I wanted to celebrate him and remember him at his best - among such times was him staring intently at any food being prepared.
